About

Built in a workingsalon, not in aboardroom

Kairo began as the system one Melbourne salon needed and could not buy: a diary that matched the real work, a booking link of its own, and no percentage leaving the till.

01

Why it exists

Software for appointment businesses tends to be built for a spreadsheet-shaped version of the day. Real salons have four-hour colours, prices that start from an amount, part-time stylists and a counter that has to take a card while someone waits. Kairo was written against that reality, in production, with the people using it standing there.

The pricing follows the same instinct. A salon should not pay a percentage of its own takings for the privilege of writing bookings down. One-off $410 setup, then nothing.

02

Where your data lives

On servers in Singapore — the closest region to Australia our host offers — and in a database belonging to your business rather than a shared table. Your client list is exportable at any time, and Kairo does not market to your clients or list your salon beside anybody else's.

03

Who is behind it

Shamalka Kiridena, based in Melbourne. Kairo was not designed in the abstract and then sold to salons — it was built for a working appointment business and it still runs one every day. The diary, the counter, the client records and the booking link are that business's actual system, which is why the awkward parts are built at all: patch tests that have to be evidence, a deposit that has to reconcile, a reminder that must never send twice.

The quickest way to judge any of that is to watch it running. Email enquiries@kairobookings.com and we will walk you through the real thing rather than a slide.
